As a photographer, I record memories for a living. I spend countless hours chasing that picture, that smile, that moment...for other families. Sadly, I've found myself forgetting to capture our memories. This blog is my way of reminding myself (and others) that days and years go by quickly. Here's my attempt to not miss a moment of it!

Look Mommy.....
Wow, what a day. Pretty typical for a Monday, I guess.
As usual, it's raining. The news this morning said we had reached record rainfall for the month, 13 inches...and it was still raining when I was watching the news. The good news on the news was that there would be a break in the rain for a couple of hours this afternoon. During the break, I was staring out the window at a yard full of dandelions. I could hear it like it was yesterday...."Look Mommy, we picked you flowers!" Into the kitchen we would go, both kids with fistfuls of dandelions to find a dixie cup that would house my beautiful bouquets. That was my inspiration for the picture I took today. Now I'll have a permanent reminder of those beautiful flowers.
Then the boys came home....yeah! The rain gave us a great family dinner at home. The perfect time to talk about the fender bender and why you never take your eyes off the road. Let's hope it's just a fender bender...I'm ready to leave for Blue Ridge NOW, and I need a way to tow the boat!
