As a photographer, I record memories for a living. I spend countless hours chasing that picture, that smile, that moment...for other families. Sadly, I've found myself forgetting to capture our memories. This blog is my way of reminding myself (and others) that days and years go by quickly. Here's my attempt to not miss a moment of it!

Learning Experiences
Dear Future Hunter,
Hopefully, you're looking back on this morning and laughing. It'll be a story that you tell your kids when they make their first "big" mistake. I know that you rolled your eyes when I took a picture of your ticket and thought that a blog about it would embarrass you. Please know that my motive was not to embarrass you, but to give you a memory of the events of the day.
Your first ticket. You felt terrible. Know that I felt far worse than you. I remember my first ticket. I remember lots of mistakes that I made. I'm sure by now, you've made more. But hopefully today taught you lessons that have stayed with you forever. Nothing is worth rushing around for. Some people are just mean. Siblings can be the greatest gift and the worlds biggest nightmare, all wrapped into one. Decisions have consequences. Life isn't always fair. And no matter what you do, we've always loved you unconditionally. Unfortunately, unconditionally doesn't mean bailing you out or making life easy. That wouldn't have taught you a thing.
I'm sure that by now you've made your first million, invented and sold some geeky piece of equipment and are living your dream - all because of today....when you learned from your mistake, shook it off and moved forward (a little more carefully).
All my love,
Mom
