As a photographer, I record memories for a living. I spend countless hours chasing that picture, that smile, that moment...for other families. Sadly, I've found myself forgetting to capture our memories. This blog is my way of reminding myself (and others) that days and years go by quickly. Here's my attempt to not miss a moment of it!

Independence Day
I've spent a lot of time today thinking about what I would post. It seems only appropriate to thank those that are serving our country to make sure that we remain the land of the free. I admit, I was less than thrilled with Austin's decision to ship off to boot camp and make the military his career. Last month, that all changed for me. There aren't enough words to say how proud I am of him. The Army has changed his life, therefore, it's changed all of ours. He's now a grown man with a goal - and the courage and dedication to pursue it. If he's ready to be all he can be, how can I not support his decision. Thanks to him and the thousands of others that stand beside him, we will remain the home of the brave.
Happy Independence Day!
