I've given up on my ode's to Mother Nature. It's very apparent that my love letters to her aren't working. She was kind enough to tease us with a couple days of 80 degree weather, dry baseball fields and endless sunshine. But it was short lived. Now it's 45 degrees (in May!) and that's the high of the day. The rain has been nonstop and the winds have been brutal. Instead of basking in the the warmth of the sun, I've been sitting in front of the heater - trying to get the chill out of my bones. Not the kind of warmth I was looking forward to in the middle of May. Hopefully the crazy weather is on it's way out since we go camping next week.
