It's the first of December. Time for planning and presents and stockings and lights. And while I'm not in the holly jolly spirit, spending an evening with friends reminds you what is important. It's not what you get to unwrap or how many gifts are under the tree. It's about that group of people that help you forget how hard life can be for a minute and remind you that in the end it will all be ok. And when I get to bring home a white elephant gift that I actually love, it's that much better :)
