Critters!

It always makes me smile when I think of Will telling his elementary school friends that we live in the forest.  

Living in the forest has it's advantages.  But it also has its issues.  Critters seem to be a big one.  We've got birds, bunnies, stray cats, raccoon, deer, coyote and the occasional turkey (and no, I don't mean the boys!).  So when there was a strange sound on the roof the other day, it didn't surprise me at all to see Jeff shooing off some LARGE, chicken sized bird that was trying to steal the shingles.  And when Will came running in today, stating he was done working outside because a critter had "made a home" in his pine straw, all I could do was laugh and take off out to see what scared him off.  Here's what I found....
