I've been waiting for weeks to take this picture.
A couple of weeks ago, I ran across an article on CincyMoms about wines. Moms were listing their favorite wine names and one woman gave the name of "I'll Get You My Pretty" and it caught my attention. She went on to say that she found it at the Oz Winery in the little town of Wamego, KS. I immediately needed to know more. I checked out http://www.visitwomego.com/ and requested all the information I could.
Wamego, KS - about 100 miles outside of Kansas City. It's the home of Toto's Tacos, the Oz Winery, the Tulip Festival, OZtoberfest and the annual Yellow Brick Road Bike Ride. The Oz museum holds the largest collection of privately owned Oz memorabilia in the world. The winery sells wines such as Witch in a Ditch and Run Toto Run. Can you imagine the gift shop?
So this year we're heading to Blue Ridge. Next year, I'm going to convince everyone to follow the yellow brick road...all the way to Wamego, KS!
