Aunt Colleen

Very few things in life even come close to being a mom.  From the minute the boys were born, I knew that there would never be a more important job.  Along with being the most rewarding job, being a mom is the hardest job.  You have to be a doctor, a coach, a counselor, a taxi driver, a teacher, a cook and a housekeeper.  You have to be well versed in everything from rattles to rattle snakes, Stride Rite to Nike, Colors and Numbers to Chemistry and British Lit.  It will never be easy, but it will ALWAYS be worth it.

The next best job has to be being an Aunt.  You don't have to know anything except how to be cool.  Michele and Cary have it mastered.  I'm starting to get the hang of it!  You don't have to help with homework, enforce curfews or worry if they've had a well balanced meal.  Being an Aunt means you can fill up on cookies before bedtime, deliver doughnuts without worry, ride up and down in the elevators just for fun....the list goes on and on.

Mom is still my favorite name.  Aunt Colleen has become a very close second.
